About the Trust

The Mohamed Sathak Trust, a charitable and educational organisation, was founded on October 26, 1973, in Kilakarai, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu, by the charitable Mohamed Sathak Family.

The Trust founded the first self-financing engineering college in the nation in 1984 at Kilakarai. The trust has a proven track record of managing outstanding educational institutions in a variety of disciplines, including Engineering Technology, Arts and Sciences, Schools, Teacher Training College, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Architecture and Medical Sciences; it currently operates 18 educational institutions in Kilakarai, Ramanathapuram and Chennai.

About The College

A.J. College of Nursing

The Mohamed Sathak Trust started A.J. College of Nursing at Chennai in 2001 to serve the public and meet this demand.

The College offers B.Sc. Nursing program, a 4-year course with an annual intake of 50 seats and M.Sc. Nursing, a 2-year course with an annual intake of 15 seats, during which the students not only learn the nursing needs across the medical spectrum, but also hospital management and crisis management.

The institution is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, the Tamil Nadu Nurses & Midwives Council and is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University. The students are enrolled as members of the Students Nurses Association, Youth Red Cross, National Service Scheme and Red Ribbon Club, which enables them to bring out their leadership talents.
